Millenary places suspended between sea and mountains

Calabria is the tip of the Italian boot, the extreme south of Italy. Lapped by the splendid waters of the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina.
The welcoming climate, the splendid colors of the sea, the rocky coasts alternating with sandy shores, its wild and mysterious nature, the intense and genuine flavors of the local cuisine and the testimonies of its ancient origins make Calabria a unique place to admire both in winter and in summer.

Le Castella

On the Saracens coast, in the protected marine area of Capo Rizzuto, there is a fishing village famous for its Aragonese Castle, the only Fortress in Europe located in the middle of the sea, separated from the mainland by a tongue of sand, one of the most evocative and best preserved castles of the whole Calabria. A village with legendary origins since according to some scholars, the island of Calypso, described by Homer in the Odyssey, stood right next to this place.

Ionian Coast

Do you hope for a dream beach vacation that will give you magical, fun and relaxing moments? Here is what the beaches of the Ionian coast offer, such as the one of Soverato, considered "the pearl of the Ionian" for its immense and white beaches characterized by crystal clear water or Caminia with its sandy beach and an incredibly transparent and clear sea or even Copanello considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the whole Italian peninsula for its cliffs.

Cirò Marina

Thanks to the beauty and richness of the sea, Cirò Marina has become a renowned tourist destination in recent years. The town is known for its excellent vineyards composed of the Gaglioppo grape from which the Cirò DOC is obtained and for the Clementines of Calabria, IGP product.

Sila National Park

In the heart of Calabria, the Sila National Park offers itself to tourists as a fascinating place, full of evocative itineraries and exciting landscapes, mountains and enchanted valleys, spectacular plants and a great variety of animals. In the park you can admire the so-called "plant patriarchs", surrounded by mosses, lichens, grasses, ferns, shrubs, climbing plants, polychrome flowers and a myriad of animals: true symbols of biodiversity and bearers of a particular genetic heritage. They are singular trees, which coexist in balance with the environment, which moderate the climate and enhance the landscape.

Regional Nature Reserve of the Valli Cupe

The Regional Nature Reserve of the Valli Cupe with its canyons, monoliths, centuries-old trees and the waterfalls of the Campanaro and Crocchio rivers have a considerable hiking and landscape value. The Valli Cupe Canyon is the only one of its kind in Europe and preserves the very rare bulbous fern. Walking on the bottom of the canyon or swimming under its waterfall are the main features of this enchanted place. A place not very far away, but whose beauty has earned the definition of "Europe's best kept secret" by the Belgian naturalist John Bouquet.

Villages perched on steep mountain ridges, hidden coves and marine bays, endless and pristine forests, evidence of Magna Greek and Byzantine splendor, castles and churches, museums and monuments, parks and natural oasis, millennial sanctuary that exudes a sense of timelessness, town lives and welcoming, pleasant villages and hospitable, proud and friendly people. Welcome to Calabria
